Cruise line Ponant names new Americas CEO

French cruise line Ponant has named Navin Sawhney as CEO for the Americas region.
It marks a promotion for Sawney who was most recently chief operating officer for the line.
He is a seasoned cruise industry professional and has previously held positions at Cunard, Royal Viking, Sea Goddess, Holland America and Tauck.
"The Americas are a significant part of Ponant’s growth strategy. Navin’s vision, expertise and leadership will be integral to building the brand into a global player in the high-end cruise segment," said Herve Bellaiche, chief sales and marketing officer.
