Cyprus restricts travel to and from Limassol and Paphos

Wednesday, 13 Nov, 2020 0

The UK government has updated its advice for Cyprus, after the island’s authorities announced a ban on travelling to and from Limassol and Paphos.

The travel restrictions between the resorts came into effect from 8pm on Thursday, 12 November.

They will last until at least 30 November but could be extended.

The ruling includes a ban on travelling to/from and between the two districts, except for permitted, exceptional reasons.

A night-time curfew is also in place in the districts of Limassol and Paphos, between 8pm to 5am.

In other parts of the Republic of Cyprus the curfew is in place between 11pm to 5am. Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in a €300 fine.

The use of a face mask is compulsory in all indoor and outdoor public spaces.
