Delta boss wants unruly passengers on national no-fly list
Delta’s CEO renewed calls to place unruly fliers on a federal ‘no-fly’ list if convicted in any in-flight disruptive incidents. Ed Bastian wrote to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland seeking support for a single flight ban that covers all commercial carriers.
Despite the FAA’s zero-tolerance’ policy, a strong deterrent is needed, Bastian says.
The airline has 2,000 people on an internal no-fly list and says it has passed on 1,000 reports to the Transportation Security Administration to pursue fines.
