Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines have imposed bans on TikTok use by employees.

It forbids use of the app on company issued devices.

It also bans TikTok on an employee’s personal device if they use it to connect with company IT systems.

Delta employees were notified of the ban last week.

They are required t delete the app by Friday.

It follows the No TikTok on Government Devices Act, banning its use for federal employees due to concerns over how the app stores data.

“Delta is committed to securing our digital infrastructure and protecting the security and privacy of our business,” the airline said.

Southwest Airlines also implemented a similar ban.

“Southwest maintains contracts with various government agencies.”

“As a federal contractor, we are required to adhere to this guidance and accordingly, TikTok is inaccessible via the Southwest network.”
