The Dominican Republic’s Hotel and Tourism Association has elected Joel Santos Echevarria as its new president.
A board member since 2012, he held the position of association treasurer.
He is executive vice president and founder of Coral Hospitality Corp which manages hotels, resorts and other tourism facilities.
His two-year tenure was announced at the association’s AGM last week and he replaces Simon Suarez.
In addition to two decades in the hospitality industry he has served as president of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs and chairman of the Central Securities Deposit.
