Early bird delegate rates for this year’s ABTA Travel Convention will end next week.
The association is urging members and suppliers to take advantage of the early registration fees of £495, which will rise to £585 from Thursday May 25.
The event is taking place on October 9-11 and is being hosted by the Azores Islands.
It will be held on the island of Sao Miguel, where delegates will have the opportunity to explore and some of the island’s highlights including the Lagoa do Fogo and the Sete Ciades, as well as a chance to go whale watching.
Azores Airlines is giving special return airfares from London Gatwick airport and there are also daily flights via Lisbon.
The event will be hosted by The Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism agencies (APAVT) and the Regional Government of the Azores.
The theme of the conference is ‘The Next Chapter’, looking at the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead following global political upheaval and volatile economic conditions in recent months.
"With the upcoming General Election adding political instability to an already a volatile global picture, it is important for the industry to come together to reflect on events and to look ahead to the next chapter," said ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer.
