Easyvoyage sharpens Web 2.0 content

Monday, 22 November 20103 min read

Travel portal Easyvoyage has revamped its reviews tool to stop people posting fraudulent write-ups.
In a world where around three-quarters of online surfers say they pay heed to reviews when choosing their next trip, the portal has now introduced a requirement that all reviewers should register and identify themselves with photos and also cite the days when they stayed at the place they are reviewing.
Easyvoyage says that once reviewers have posted a review, it will be checked by staff and only then added to the portal’s own editorial content.
Founder and chief executive officer Jean Pierre Nadir said: "As Europe’s largest travel portal with sites available in France, Spain, Germany, the UK and Italy, our aim is to become the leading source for unbiased hotel reviews and we encourage quality advice over quantity.
"With this new and unique tool, online visitors can now rely on authentic reviews of travellers’ experiences on a Europe-wide scale and will therefore be able to make better informed choices when booking a holiday.”
