Elegant Resorts launches scheme to win trust of wary consumers
Upmarket tour operator Elegant Resorts has launched a new booking initiative in a move to rebuild shattered consumer confidence.
Managing Director Lisa Fitzell said it was imperative for the industry to "build back trust" with the travelling public.
Under the Elegant Promise scheme, the company will offer increased flexibility and booking conditions including a pledge of a full refund on cancellations up to 30 days before departure.
There will also be no amendment fees on changes up to 14 days before departure and a price match promise, while final balances do not need to be paid until four weeks before departure, falling to 14 days with selected partners.
"We want to reassure our clients that when they book with us their holidays, health and money are safe and protected," Fitzell said.
"The travel industry needs to build back trust after such chaotic and uncertain times. With the promise of a vaccine, new destinations being added to the travel corridors list and a more flexible way to book, the future is beginning to look brighter."
