Emirates and Tourism Australia launch agent megafam

Thursday, 6 March 20083 min read

Agents booking an Emirates flight to Australia are to be entered in to a competition to win a place on a megafam.

Tourism Australia has teamed up with the airline to launch the booking incentive.

The trip for 100 agents will run on May 27-June 5 with departures from Heathrow, Gatwick, Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham or Manchester.

On arrival in Australia agents will visit either: Tropical North Queensland, the Whitsunday Islands, the Gold Coast, Byron Bay and the Tweed, Sydney and surrounds, Melbourne and surrounds or Tasmania.

Agents must make a booking between March 7-30 to qualify and must email the PNR to [email protected]. The more bookings made, the more times they get entered in to the competition.

Aussie Specialist agents will be able to increase their chances of winning a place by completing a new Emirates module on the Aussie Specialist website by March 30. This will guarantee automatic entry in to the draw.

Non-Aussie Specialists can sign up for the programme, complete the core modules and the new Emirates module and automatically get entered in to the competition.

Full details of the megafam and how to become an Aussie Specialist will be available at www.specialist.australia.com/emiratesuk from tomorrow (Friday).

Tourism Australia general manager Europe Rodney Harrex said: “We’re delighted to be working closely with Emirates to drive bookings to Australia and to highlight their regional departure points to agents. Those agents that win a place on the trip will enjoy lots of amazing experiences that they’ll be able to recommend to their clients when they return.”

Emirates UK and Ireland vice-president Vic Sheppard said:
“Australia is one of the top destinations for Emirates from the UK, so we are thrilled to be working with Tourism Australia to give travel agents from across the UK the opportunity to win a place on this amazing fam trip. It will provide winning agents with the chance to discover one of the most diverse destinations in the world.”
