Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest carrier, recently launched flights to Lyon and to Mauritius as the airline continues to expand across Africa and Europe.
Lyon new route started on July 2 with a thrice weekly passenger service. France second largest metropolis is the third destination in France connected by Ethiopian Airlines with Paris and Marseille. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tasew, stated, “France has been an integral part of Ethiopian Airlines’ network for decades, and throughout this time we have connected Paris and Marseille with numerous destinations across Africa through seamless links via our hub in Addis Ababa. The addition of Lyon further strengthens these long-standing ties, providing greater connectivity and more travel options.”
On July 12, the airline also commenced operations for its three weekly direct services between Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, and Mauritius, enhancing connectivity between the island nation and the airline’s extensive global network.

Ethiopian Airlines currently operates passenger and cargo flights to more than 160 domestic and international destinations across five continents, connecting Africa with the rest of the world.
