Smartwings: 3 new destinations from Prague this winter

Czech carrier Smartwings is expanding its scheduled network for the Northern Winter 2026/27 season with the launch of three new routes from Prague, strengthening connections to Portugal, Italy and Norway.

The airline will introduce nonstop flights to Lisbon, Venice Marco Polo and Bergen, offering travelers more city break and leisure options during the winter schedule.

The new Prague–Lisbon service begins on October 23, 2026 and will operate three times weekly using a Boeing 737-800.

Smartwings will also launch Prague–Venice Marco Polo on October 22, 2026. The route will operate four times a week with the airline’s Airbus A220-300 fleet, further expanding its growing use of the new aircraft on scheduled European services.

In addition, the carrier will add Prague–Bergen from October 26, 2026, operating twice weekly with the Boeing 737-800. The Norwegian route targets both winter tourism and travelers seeking access to the country’s famous fjords and northern landscapes.

The three additions continue Smartwings’ strategy of expanding scheduled services from its Prague hub while maintaining a strong presence in the leisure travel market. The Czech carrier will also increase the number of flights from Prague to Porto, Bilbao, and Toulouse from two to three per week. Another important innovation concerns the service to Nice, which will be operated year-round.

This Summer 2026 season, Smartwings serves more than 80 scheduled destinations from Prague and other Czech airports to 20 countries across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The largest number of summer destinations reachable with Smartwings from Czech airports is traditionally in Greece (20 destinations), followed by Spain (19), Italy (10) and Portugal (7).
