Etihad Airways is adding more flights to the Philippines next year with an extra three weekly services to Manila.
Beginning May 1, 2016, three more Abu Dhabi-Manila roundtrips will start for a total of 17 return flights per week.
"The Abu Dhabi-Manila route is one of our strongest in terms of demand and has been capacity-constrained over the past few years. The new services will increase capacity between the two cities by almost 2,500 seats per week enabling Etihad Airways to better serve the market," said Etihad CEO James Hogan.
All flights are operated by two-class Boeing 777-300ER jets featuring 28 seats in Business and 384 in Economy Class.
Philippine Airlines, which also operates the route, has an existing code share arrangement with Etihad, which will offer its customers 22 weekly flights from May.
"There’s huge potential to grow the visitor market, particularly from the Middle East and Europe. The three additional weekly services between Abu Dhabi and Manila will help us realise this ambition," Hogan added.
