Euromonitor opens in eastern Europe
Global market analyst Euromnitor International has chosen the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius for its first office in eastern Europe.
The London-based company, which produces a strategic market intelligence service for the travel industry amongst other sectors, is to extend the scope of its research programme in the region.
Executive chairman Robert Senior said: “Almost half a billion people live in eastern Europe in 28 countries, many expanding rapidly. Consumer spending has risen by over 80% in the last five years. Consumer market potential in the region is often overlooked.”
Euromonitor already conducts research in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine and is to extend its reach into other eastern European, Baltic and Scandinavian countries through the new office.
