European Tourism Monitoring & Benchmarking Tool Launched

A new monitoring and benchmarking tool has recently been launched on the internet.
Tourbench will provide monitoring for tourist accommodation services in Europe with special focus on energy,water,waste and chemicals. The initiative has been created with the assistance of the European Union LIFE programme and the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt.
It is planned that Tourbench will track environmental performance and provide a a valuable and powerful environmental measuring tool, track and record environmental consumption and assist in complying with certification monitoring requirements. The facility should also calculate potential savings when installing energy and water technologies.
