State tourism promotion agency Explore Minnesota has paired up with local golf legend Tom Lehman to promote Minnesota’s golf and tourism in a new TV ad campaign.
Called ‘Legendary Moments,’ the commercial will launch during the 2016 Masters Tournament and forms part of the state’s #OnlyinMN tourism marketing campaign.
"Tom is the perfect ambassador to showcase the premier golf experience that can be found only in Minnesota to visitors across the globe," said John Edman, CEO of Explore Minnesota.
The state has more than 500 golf courses according to the Minnesota Golf Association and the 2016 Ryder Cup tees off at Hazeltine National Golf Course in Chaska, Minn later this year, with Lehman as vice captain for the US team.
It will air in rotation along with two other state tourism ads in numerous markets including Kansas City, Chicago, Milwaukee and Winnipeg.
Minnesota tourism is a $13.6 billion industry and attracts nearly 70 million domestic and international travelers each year.
