Rapidly expanding JetBlue Airways and AirTran Airways both announced new service routes JetBLue in June said it would have daily nonstop service between New York and San Jose, CA. It also said in May it would become the only carrier to provide a Boston-Oakland route. AirTran Airways in June will begin new daily non-stop service from Boston to Arkon-Canton Regional Airport in Ohio, and Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport in Virginia. JetBlue will also start flying non-stop between Washington, D. C., and Sacramento in early May. The airline added it has plans to expand service from Washington, D.C., to Oakland and Long Beach, CA.
