Ferry routes cancelled in French national strikes
Brittany Ferries was forced to cancel some services on Tuesday due to a national strike in France.
It cancelled its 14:45 Portsmouth to Caen service, and the 16:30 and 23:00 Caen to Portsmouth crossings.
In addition, industrial action by dockers led to the cancellation of its 17:15 ferry from Le Havre to Portsmouth and the 22:15 Cherbourg to Poole service.
Other routes were operating as usual and the company expects all services to operate fully today (Wednesday).
Further strike action is planned in France this Saturday.
