Flight canceled as Frontier pilot arrested

A Frontier Airlines flight recently had to be canceled at the last moment due to the arrest of the pilot on duty.

Pilot Seymour Walker can be seen exiting the cockpit in handcuffs at Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport.

He was due to fly the scheduled service to Dallas.

It happened just before passengers were due to board the flight.

Walker had an outstanding assault-family violence arrest warrant.

He was placed ‘into custody without incident,’ Houston police said.

Frontier Airlines acknowledged the arrest and said it was unrelated to Walker’s job.

The airline did not have a replacement pilot readily available so was forced to cancel the flight.

“Customers were offered the option of a full refund, credit or re-accommodation on the next available flight, later that evening,” the airline said.

“Passengers were also provided a $100 flight voucher, and overnight hotel accommodations as needed.”
