Flightbound looks to take off with sign up of CSI Media system.
Flightbound, part of The Holiday Company Limited, has chosen to adopt CSI Media’s Travelberry (Tour Op) system. Partners in the specialist wholesale tour operator business, Graeme Evans and Steve Goodenough, will be looking to utilise the system to improve the distribution of their products to a wider market.
The Holiday Company has been established for over 20 years and with the launch of Flightbound in 1998, the vision was to allow tour operators without an ATOL to be able to sell their holidays by air to their customers. Flightbound has been providing coach and tour operators with their air holiday requirements for many years. Flightbound offers coach tour operators the chance to capitalise on their strength of brand and high levels of customer loyalty by broadening their product offering to provide the holidays by air to their clients that they may well already be booking elsewhere. Flightbound offers an extensive range of products, from destinations throughout Europe to Canada and the USA, and further afield to China.
The integration of the Travelberry (Tour Op) platform, provided by CSI Media, means that Flightbound will be able to merge their own products with third party stock, enabling them to offer an extensive range of tailor made options to a varied market.
Graeme Evans, the Technical Director of Flightbound said ‘we have been looking for a new system for several years and whilst exploring many systems on the market we have always kept an eye on the development of the Travelberry (Tour Op) system. The team at CSI Media have kept us updated with the new developments in their system and we feel extremely confident to ‘sign on the dotted line’. What we particularly liked was that the service doesn’t just end at delivering the system but we were impressed with their commitment to develop the site and provide marketing support throughout. They are focused on customer satisfaction and at no time were we pressured to purchase something that might not be right for us.’
Steve Goodenough, the Marketing and Sales Director of Flightbound said ‘as a business to business operator supplying coach and tour operators with products by air, we are very excited about the improvements this will make to both our distribution of products through existing and new partners, and to the increased range of products that this will allow us to offer. Our mission is to give smaller, often niche operators the ability to compete in the wider market with a broader product range and to help them with their distribution too. We aim to do some pretty innovative stuff in this market place, so watch this space!’
