The Monroe County Tourist Development Council has started airing Season 2 of the Florida Keys Traveler podcast.

The season consists of six episodes highlighting topics and activities of interest to Keys visitors throughout the island chain.

The documentary-style episodes present local personalities throughout each of the Keys’ five districts.

Featured are Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary-certified Blue Star diving, fishing and snorkeling operators; environmentalists; culturalists and chefs.

Podcast subjects include sustainability; hidden Florida Keys; culture of literature, history and art; culinary heritage; Blue Star diving, and Blue Star fishing and snorkeling.

Podcast host-writer Elizabeth Harryman Lasley, a past president of the Society of American Travel Writers, has been a CBS Morning Show travel contributor and hosted travel shows on KABC Radio and Southern California Public Radio station KPCC.

The podcast is produced by Armchair Productions in conjunction with the Monroe County Tourist Development Council.

It is available on more than 20 platforms including Audible, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Pandora, Spotify and others.

The first season of Florida Keys Traveler launched with 30 episodes airing in 2023 and celebrated the island chain’s bicentennial.

Twice-weekly episodes debuted from March 23 to July 3, 2023.

Ten were aired additionally through inflight syndication on Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd., the flag carrier of Hong Kong; and Singapore Airlines.
