Flybe disappearance sparks nationwide appeal
The search is on for one of the Flybe sales team’s key assets – a teddy bear who vanished during a trade roadshow.
It’s not certain whether the cuddly toy, seven-year-old Flybear, wandered off in search of adventure, or was taken by someone who thought he was a giveaway at the Manchester Airports Group event at the Hilton East Midlands on Wednesday evening.
His owner, Flybe regional sales manager Laura Jurgens, has been frantically trying to get him back, and has posted on Facebook to plead for his safe return.
She posted: "Did anybody take this bear in the red hoody from my table at the MAG airport roadshow in East Midlands?
"He wasn’t a giveaway and needs to come home. He may be a scruffy bear to whoever picked him up, but to me he’s a lot more.
"If you have him or know who has him please deliver him safe back home."
Laura told TravelMole: "His name is Flybear, I have had him for seven years. He was wearing a red hoody with a blue flybe logo on the front and blue trousers. He always comes with me to MAG events.
"He is a bit on the scruffy side. His friend, the little bear, was left behind. He must be in the East Midlands area!"
