Flybe signs franchise deal with Channel Islands operator

Monday, 10 Mar, 2016 0

Flybe has signed a 10-year franchise agreement with Channel Islands’ air operator, Blue Islands.

Blue Islands will operate six routes in Flybe colours – Southampton to Guernsey and Jersey, Guernsey to Jersey, Bristol to Jersey, London City to Jersey, and a winter service from Jersey to Geneva.

The agreement has been structured to allow additional aircraft and routes to be added at a later date if required.

Tickets for flights will start selling in June.

Passengers will benefit from connections with ‘through tickets’ from the Channel Islands for services to 30 UK and European airports, including Aberdeen, Dublin, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Amsterdam, as well as summer destinations such as Faro and Malaga.

This will give passengers savings on Air Passenger Duty when using connecting services.

Flybe already has franchise agreements in place with Loganair and Stobart Air.
