Flybe is to launch a new route between Belfast and Manston in Kent, South East England.
But the airline has decided to suspend its service from Manston to Manchester from Monday April 4 saying “passenger numbers made the flight economically and environmentally hard to justifyâ€.
Mike Rutter, Flybe’s chief commercial officer, said: “Whilst the service to Manchester has unfortunately proved unsustainable, we’ve been delighted with the support shown by travellers to and from the region on the Manston-Edinburgh route and remain committed to developing our route network from Manston.â€
The summer service to Belfast will run three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays – starting on May 26.
Fares start from £29.99 one way, including taxes and charges.
