France plans to open borders for foreign travellers this summer
France hopes to allow entry to foreign vaccinated visitors this summer.
French President Emmanuel Macron said officials are discussing options to open France to vaccinated ‘American and European’ travellers this summer.
He didn’t specifically say if that would include travellers from the UK.
France will start scaling down lockdown restrictions from next month and start welcoming some international visitors over the summer.
It will take ‘progressive’ steps to ease restrictions.
Macron told CBS News that would open up for arrivals from the EU and the US.
"We will organise in the summer time with our professionals in France for French [and] European citizens, but as well for American citizens," Macron said.
He made no reference to UK citizens.
Macron said French officials had already started discussions with the White House.
