Fully-vaccinated Brits may miss out on holidays due to NHS error
Fully vaccinated Britons could find themselves missing out on holidays abroad due to a simple keying error on the NHS app.
NHS bosses revealed the error is occurring when vaccine centre staff don’t click a final ‘save; on the data after people receive their second dose.
It also happens when information hasn’t been filled in prroperly.
This can lead to the second vaccination not being recorded.
The Telegraph reported instances where the NHS has not correctly recorded their second vaccine dose.
Health chiefs have asked people to check that their data is showing up in the app and if not they should contact their GP.
University of Oxford professor Dan Ciubotaru told the Telegraph it took several days and many phone calls to get it rectified.
"The information displayed is from national NHS systems and if a patient’s information is incorrect or missing they can contact their GP who will be able to update their record," a Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said.
