Get paid to holiday in Malta
Malta hopes to lure foreign tourists with a cash incentive. Visitors could be handed up to €200 for a stay of at least three days on the Mediterranean island. The pay-out would be given to holidaymakers who directly book through local hotels.
The handout is dependent on the class of hotel with stays at five star hotels getting a total of €200, which is paid by Malta’s Tourism Authority and the hotel.
"The scheme is aimed at putting Malta’s hotels in a very competitive position as international tourism restarts," said Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo.
