Go First seeks millions in additional funding
Struggling grounded airline Go First needs a fresh cash injection to keep its planes in the air.
It is seeking up to $122 million from lenders to stay afloat, according to a Reuters report.
The entire fleet has been grounded for several weeks as it goes through bankruptcy resolution.
It will need extra funds to maintain service when it finally gets the go ahead to resume operations.
It is expected to resume operations next month subject to the air regulator’s approval.
It would restart with a limited service utilising 22 aircraft.
Go First has a total of 61 Airbus aircraft in its fleet.
The airline’s troubles were impacted by long term engine issues with its Airbus jets.
The airline has delayed its restart several times over the past few weeks.
