Golden Tulip Expands Management Board with Two New Executives
Golden Tulip Hospitality Group appoints Alfred de Bruyn as Vice President Brands & Concepts and David Cruz as Vice President Human Resources, effective as per February 1st 2008 and April 1st 2008 respectively.
Lausanne (CH), Golden Tulip announces the expansion of its Management Board of Directors. The company appointed Alfred de Bruyn and David Cruz to its Management Board, increasing the number of board members from five to seven.
Alfred de Bruyn, who is Dutch, joins Golden Tulip with over 15 years in design. Alfred previously owned and managed the Golden Tulip Avegoor, growing the hotel into a highly innovative four star plus lifestyle hotel. In his new role, Alfred will manage the visual identity of the core brands, including seasonal initiatives and consumer concepts. Furthermore, he will be responsible for the overall strategic direction for the Golden Tulip family of brands, which includes, among others Royal Tulip, Golden Tulip and Tulip Inn. He will oversee the development of brand communication strategies, tactical marketing promotions, revenue management and the development of new brands and concepts.
David Cruz, who is Swiss, has a long-standing international experience in the field of Human Resources; from 1999 he spent almost ten years as Regional HR Manager NEAME of Cereals Partners Worldwide, a highly successful joint venture between Nestle and General Mills. Prior to this he held several functions in recruiting and relocations of expatriates at Nestec S.A. In 1998 he held for eight years Human resources and Training functions at Hyatt International.
In the capacity of VP Human Resources, David will handle the growing challenges in the field of human resources and ensure that the company’s strong corporate values and employee culture continue to be promoted.
