Grand Circle Cruises buys ship from Paul Gauguin
Boston based Grand Circle Cruises is the new owner of the Tere Moana, after agreeing a deal to buy the cruise ship from Paul Gauguin Cruises.
The 88-passenger luxury ship entered service with Paul Gauguin in 2012 and before that had sailed with Ponant.
Paul Gauguin said the ship will continue all scheduled sailings through May 14, 2016 in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.
‘It’s hard to part with the Tere Moana but we received an attractive offer to purchase the vessel and decided to take this opportunity to refocus in our home territory of French Polynesia," said Richard Bailey, CEO of Paul Gauguin Cruises.
A company spokesman did not disclose how much Grand Circle Cruises paid for the acquisition.
