More than a dozen guests were rushed to hospital after being overcome by a mysterious chemical vapour at a Coachella Valley resort.
Thirteen people, including nine children, were hospitalised after falling ill at the Marriott Shadow Ridge Resort.
Three children are reportedly in a serious condition.
April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department said the vapour was detected near the south pool area, causing respiratory problems.
The pool’s filtration system is being fingered as the probable cause however investigators were still on site late Monday inspecting equipment.
By late Monday the exact vapour emitted was not disclosed.
Just weeks ago four people, including two children, suffered an electric shock while swimming in a different pool at the same resort.
