H4U Travel donates 50 per cent profits to Royal Flying Doctor Service
Australian luxury travel concierge H4U Travel, is celebrating its first large market air tour with a fundraising event for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland).
The Weekend in Longreach tour, to be held over the weekend of 19 and 20 June, will give back to the outback community by donating 50% of all profits from the tour to the RFDS in Queensland.
"We can think of no better organisation to support on a tour to outback Queensland than the RFDS," said an H4U Travel spokesperson.
"The RFDS is there for regional, rural and remote Queenslanders every day, so we’re proud to give back. Even as we shared this news last week with our partners for the event, we were told incredible stories of how their families have been directly touched by the invaluable services that the RFDS provides Queenslanders."
In addition to 50% of the tour profits being donated to the RFDS, a fundraising auction will also be held at a dinner during the tour to raise additional money.
The 100 guests on this all-inclusive tour will travel on a privately chartered jet from Brisbane, visit both the Qantas Founders Museum and the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame, and experience outback sunset and dinner under the stars.
Accommodation, entry to attractions, ground transfers in Longreach, all meals, and return air travel are all included in the tour price.
"This tour isn’t just about visiting Longreach – it’s about connecting with the community and the lifeline that RFDS provides Longreach locals," the company says.
RFDS (Queensland Section) Chief Executive Officer Meredith Staib said: "In addition to aeromedical retrieval, the RFDS in Queensland delivers a broad range of essential primary and preventative healthcare services."
"Fundraising support, such as that provided by H4U Travel, helps us deliver vital healthcare, including mental health services, to communities like Longreach. We’d like to extend our gratitude to both H4U Travel and tour participants for the generous donation."
