Heathrow flight punctuality improved in the three months ending in June.
The London hub recorded a 14% increase in the number of punctual flights between April and June.
The average delay fell by eight minutes, from 18 to ten, according to statistics from the Civil Aviation Authority.
The airport’s chief operating office Mike Brown said:“We are working very hard to make every passenger’s journey to or from Heathrow better than the last one, and these figures demonstrate the we are making good progress.
“However, the challenge is continuously to raise standards and through our long-term investment strategy, which sees £1 billion spent on facilities and services every year, we are rebuilding an airport of which the UK can be rightly proud.”
