Hong Kong Airlines has announced the launch of a three times a week service to Phnom Penh, Cambodia starting on February 27.
HK Airlines will deploy all-economy class Airbus A320 aircraft on the route which operates on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday each week.
"We are delighted to add Phnom Penh to our expanding network in Asia. With the booming economic growth in Cambodia, the new direct flight service to Phnom Penh will connect passengers from around the world," said Li Dianchun, commercial director of Hong Kong Airlines.
"At the same time it offers more choices and increased convenience to Cambodians travelling out of their country and connecting to our network in Mainland China, further promoting the tourism and business ties between Hong Kong and Cambodia."
Accoring to Khek Norinda, communications director for Cambodia Airports, Phnom Penh exceeded three million passengers in a calendar year for the first time in 2015.
Going forward, double-digit growth is forecast for Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville airports in 2016, Khek said.
