Thursday, 24 Oct, 2019 0

Hyatt Hotels Corp is planning a third property in Costa Rica.

It announced plans to build a new hotel in Heredia province called Hyatt Place San Jose Cariari.

An agreement has been signed with developer Cariari Premium Outlets S.A. and work is expected to start in early 2020.

Heredia Province is just a few miles from the metro San Jose area.

The new 120-room hotel will be targeted at the business travel market, with a prime location just a mile away from the newly-opened Costa Rica Convention Center (pictured here) and Juan Santamaría International Airport.

It is slated to open in mid-2021.

The hotel will anchor the Cariari 111 Tower mixed-use development.

Hyatt also operates Hyatt Place San Jose Pinares and Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo, and its wider Central America footprint includes hotels in Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
