IAG considers buying Vueling

British Airways and Iberia parent IAG is considering buying Spanish budget airline Vueling.

Iberia already has a 45% stake in Vueling.

IAG said in a statement today that its board was looking into “making an offer for 100% of the share capital of Vueling Airlines”.

The group is due to release its third-quarter results tomorrow (Friday).
