IGNORE: Booking data shows US travelers are taking advantage of Brexit effect
US travelers are taking advantage of the strong dollar against sterling, according to travel data collected by ADARA.
The travel data specialist looked at flight and hotel searches and bookings before and after Britain voted to leave the European Union, sending the value of the pound plummeting.
It found a 25% increase in flight bookings to the UK in the wake of the Brexit vote and a 15% in flight searches.
Closer examination of the data showed 7 out of 10 top cities where people are booking hotels in London, the UK capital, originated from the US.
