InterContinental Hotels Group chief executive Richard Solomons is stepping down and will leave the company in the summer.
Solomons steps down on July 30 and will be replaced by IHG chief commercial officer Keith Barr.
Solomons has held the top job since 2011 and told the Financial Times: "It’s been a long run and the business is in good shape. I’m 55 and Keith is more than ready to take over. It just felt like the right time…there was certainly no pressure, internally or externally."
Barr has been with IHG since 2000 and before CCO he held various roles globally, including four years as CEO for the company’s Greater China unit.
