The Twin Cities has a unique and appealing character that is unlike any other
Midwestern city. Offering a large metropolitan area with an abundance of natural
resources and four drastically different seasons, the greater Twin Cities area is a
must for anyone who loves the city and desires a more dynamic experience.

The Chambers Hotel opened its doors on Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis in September and has brought with it an edgy and impressive art
collection and a world-class restaurant headed by one of America’s top chefs,
Jean Georges Vongerichten. Chambers heralds itself as the country’s first luxury
art hotel and boasts a $7-million collection of original contemporary art. The
majority of the artwork is in public spaces but there is original work in every room. The restaurant also welcomes groups for a night of fine-dining.

The Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley is renovating “The Minnesota Trail” and is scheduled to reopen July 2007. The North-Woods themed trail features wildlife
native to Minnesota and has existed since the zoo opened in 1978. Zoo officials have not made any official announcements about specific updates to the
trail, yet it is said to feature new species along with those the trail
already exhibited. This renovation will be the first major overhaul of the trail since its opening.

The Republican National Convention is scheduled to be held at the Xcel Energy
Center in St. Paul September 1-4 of 2008. It is estimated that this event will be one of the largest the city has ever hosted drawing upwards of 45,000 people.
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska will unveil the new Maze Garden
in June 2007. This unique and innovative garden is said to set a new creative standard in maze design.
