Italy imposes quarantine on UK travellers

Italy has confirmed it is imposing a five-day quarantine and mandatory testing for travellers coming from the UK. Italy responded due to the growing spread of the Delta Covid-19 variant across the UK.
Quarantine is mandatory even for people who are fully vaccinated. In 2019, more than six million Britons visited Italy
Shares of easyJet and British Airways owner IAG declined on the news, even though travel demand to Italy is weak as it is in the UK’s amber list like most other EU countries.
