January was best-ever sales month for InteleTravel
Homeworking firm InteleTravel notched its best-ever sales month in the UK in January, with total bookings in excess of £6 million.
Sales were up 56% on the same period last year and exceed pre-pandemic monthly revenues.
The surge in demand for holidays comes as travel restrictions have been eased, with strong bookings to the Caribbean, the US and the Maldives.
Its top 10 agents generated over £450,000 worth of bookings in January, with two sales of over £100,000 each.
InteleTravel currently has 10,500 agents. The agency recently gained its Air Travel Organiser’s licence allowing agents to create and sell packages.
"We are often criticised for attracting agents with no experience. These sales are a testament to those agents who are generating new audiences which had no previous allegiance to a travel agent. The investment in the training speaks for itself," said InteleTravel UK director Tricia Handley-Hughes.
InteleTravel this week holds a two-day pop-up Holiday Clinic in Canary Wharf, London on 8-9 February..
The clinic will generate new leads and maximise sales for InteleTravel ambassadors.
Ambassadors are agents that have been trained to the highest level of the InteleTravel academy and help train other agents.
Among the holidays on offer at the clinic will be ocean and river cruises, packages and city breaks.
