Outgoing Executive Director of the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office Jens Thraenhart is moving to the Caribbean to become Chief Executive Officer of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI). He spent almost eight years in office at Mekong Tourism.
Thraenhart also worked for the Canadian Tourism Commission (now Destination Canada) and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and co-founded travel technology agency Dragon Trail.
He assumes leadership of Barbados’ marketing agency effective from November 1, 2021.
