Jet2 to host agents’ conference in Turkey
Jet2holidays is to host a conference for independent agents at the same Turkish resort where ABTA held its travel convention six years ago.
The operator will take more than 270 top performing agents to the 5-star Gloria Golf Resort in Belek, Antalya from November 26 to 29.
Head of trade Alan Cross said the single four-day event would replace the pair of two-day conferences held previously.
Delegates will hear about Jet2holidays’ future vision from senior figures including CEO Steve Heapy, and take part in sessions with representatives from across the Jet2holidays business.
There will also be presentations, supplier showcases and a gala dinner, as well as an awards ceremony recognising the best-selling and most successful agents of the past 12 months.
"We believe 100% in selling through independent travel agents, which is why our partnership approach to working with them goes from strength to strength," said Cross.
"Since our last conference we have grown our trade team to 18, introduced more partnership initiatives, and launched a huge summer 19 programme, all of which gives our agency partners even more opportunity to grow their businesses.
"As well as celebrating this, and saying thank you to our all-important independent agency partners for their support, this conference is a great time to get together and explore the partnership opportunities that Jet2holidays offers so that we can continue to enjoy even more success.
"Against the spectacular backdrop of the Gloria Golf Resort and the beautiful Antalya region, this promises to be our best and most productive conference ever."
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have more than trebled capacity to Antalya for this summer and are expanding across all nine of thier UK bases again for summer 19.
Delegates will be flown to Antalya on chartered flights using the company’s new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with departure bases to be confirmed soon.
