JetBlue is upping flight frequencies and adding a new route from its SoCal focus city Long Beach.
New nonstop service will begin on August 15 to Reno-Tahoe International Airport and becomes the twelfth destination served by JetBlue at Long Beach.
On the same day the airline is launching additional daily flights to Las Vegas and San Francisco, and to Oakland International Airport the following day, August 16.
"Since JetBlue first came to town in 2001, when it had little commercial service, Long Beach has been the cornerstone of JetBlue’s success and growing route map in the western US," said Dave Clark, vice president of network planning at JetBlue.
"With its convenient and unique open-air terminal and easy access to many Southern California communities and attractions, Long Beach is a top choice for JetBlue travelers. We’re thrilled to offer our customers here even more convenience."
The carrier also said it will amend existing departure times between Long Bach and Sacramento from September 7, to enable same day round trips.
