John McEwan takes up new chairmanship

The Travel Ledger Alliance has appointed John McEwan as chairman of its advisory board.
The former ABTA chairman and Advantage chief executive is also chairman of Holidaysplease, EFR Travel, Latin Routes and travel management company Amber Road, which recently changed its name from CTI.
Travel Ledger, a blockchain-based project that is building a distributed billing and settlement platform for the travel industry, is to announce more industry experts as advisors over the coming weeks as it starts to unveil more details about the next phase of the project.
McEwan said: "The company is developing a revolutionary billing and payment structure that is safe, efficient and cost effective for buyers and sellers alike. It will transform global settlement systems and is built on a membership model."
