Jumeirah names chief sales and marketing officer
Jumeirah has announced the appointment of Apo Demirtas as chief sales and marketing officer.
He will be based in the group’s corporate office in Dubai and will report to the chief executive officer Guy Crawford.
He joins from InterContinental Hotels where he was most recently vice president market strategy for the Americas, responsible for the channel marketing, sales, distribution and revenue management strategies for the company’s managed hotels.
Jumeirah properties include the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London and the Jumeirah Essex House on Central Park South in New York.
It plans to grow its portfolio to 57 by 2011 with projects currently under development in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Aqaba, Doha, Phuket, Shanghai, Bermuda and London.
