Kids’ Month at Yasawa Means Luxury for Families
Yasawa Island Resort will throw open its doors to families this January, making it one of the only luxury resorts in Fiji to accept children of all ages.
The exclusive hideaway will stage its annual Kids’ Month from January 1 to 31, 2006, promising hours of entertainment for children and absolute luxury for parents. Minimum age is usually 12.
While parents relax, kids will be able to enjoy everything from crab races, coconut harvests and fish feeding to traditional Fijian crafts and songs. Child-minding and special kids’ meals will be available.
Activities will continue for as long as kids like, leaving parents free to relax by the resort’s horizon pool, snorkel on the island’s pristine reefs, meet the people of the traditional villages nearby or learn to dive with the resort’s own PADI dive instructor.
Yasawa Island Resort has just 18 luxury bures (bungalows) hidden among the palms on a stretch of pristine white beach. Each is fitted in contemporary Fijian style, with thatched roofs, timber plantation shutters and private sundecks.
Each bure has its own thatched beach hut, a hammock strung between the palms, a pair of day beds and the choice of a beautiful indoor bathroom or a discreetly screened shower outside in the sun.
