Kingston Hotels Group completes staff vaccination program
Thailand-based Kingston Hotels Group is one of the first hospitality operators in Bangkok to have fully vaccinated all eligible hotel and corporate staff as it gears up for of a return of international tourism later this year.
The vaccine roll out is part of the Group’s ‘KHG FIGHTS COVID-19: We Are All Vaccinated!’ campaign, which kicked off with the first round of staff vaccinations in early May.
The vaccination drive covered all staff across its seven properties and corporate office in the Thai capital.
"We are delighted to have completed the second round of vaccines for all of our local and foreign national staff. It’s a testament to the onus we place on the wellbeing of everybody involved in the company, as well as the incredible work of our official healthcare partner World Medical Hospital," said the Group’s owner Suravee Singhlukha.
World Medical Hospital partnered with Kingston Hotels Group last year to provide Covid-safe services at three alternative state quarantine (ASQ) properties, namely Solitaire Hotel and Eleven Hotel on Sukhumvit 11, as well as Sukhumvit 15’s Royal President Hotel.
The four-star hotels provide complimentary airport pick-up service on arrival, three Covid-19 screening tests, a round-the-clock on-site nurse, 24-hour emergency ambulance service transfer from hotel to hospital and a doctor’s consultation via video call.
The group’s boutique 60-room Kingston Suites property has been temporarily repurposed as a ‘hospitel’ catering to local Bangkok residents under quarantine with minor health issues.
With all staff now vaccinated, the group is gearing up for the return of tourism with the launch of two new hotel brands in late 2021.
"Although a degree of uncertainty remains in Bangkok’s hospitality industry, we are quietly confident that the recent nationwide rollout of vaccines and success of vaccination strategies elsewhere in the world will gradually result in the return of tourists sooner rather than later," said Suravee.
Kingston Hotels Group owns seven properties comprising a total of 1,671 rooms located in key locations around Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district, catering to business, leisure and family travellers from around the world
