LAN Peru to run first flight to Europe
LAN Peru is to operate a service to Europe for the first time next month.
The airline will connect Madrid with Lima from August 7 with three flights a week using Boeing 767s.
Flights from the Spanish capital will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 13:40 and arriving in Lima at 19:05 local time.
The transatlantic connection expands LAN’s international network which covers Guayaquil, Quito, Bogotá, Caracas, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Lima, Mexico, Miami, Los Angeles, New York and most recently La Paz and Santa Cruz in Bolivia. The carrier also serves 12 destinations within Peru.
General manager Juan Luis Kruger said: “Since beginning our operations eight years ago, we have worked hard to offer our passengers and cargo clients an excellent service, while contributing to the development of the national air transportation industry by connecting Peru with the rest of the world.
“It is with great pride that we announce the introduction of flights to Europe, offering more options to passengers travelling this route.”
