Lapland Fam trip sparks sales boost for The Personal Travel Consultants

The Personal Travel Consultants in Partnership with Blue Bay Travel is hailing an immediate sales boost following a Lapland Fam trip in February.
It has boosted bookings and inspired one homeworker to lead her own group tour.
A group of five homeworking travel agents were taken on a three-night Fam trip by Transun (27 February – 2 March) to give them the opportunity to experience firsthand what Lapland has to offer.
The trip has generated a 25% year-on-year increase in sales of holidays to Lapland for the homeworking business.
It has also resulted in one of the PTCs launching a group tour for 2026, on which she’s already booked 14 customers.
Louise Rothwell, from the Business Development Team, was joined by Sonia Bowles, Gaynor Tuby, Sarah-Jane Brooks and Sam Davis.
They went on the Northern Lights Snowmobile Safarito witness the aurora borealis.
The group also visited a reindeer camp, where they learned about the traditional Sami way of life.
During the Call of the Wild Husky Safari, they rode sledges pulled by huskies and enjoyed exploring the Arctic landscape.
Finally, they went on a Northern Lights Forest Trek.
The group stayed at the Davvi Arctic Lodge in a cosy Fell House.
Lapland bookings through 7 April are up 25% compared to the same period last year, which the business is attributing directly to the February Fam.
Bookings are a combination of adult-focused trips and family Santa breaks.
Since returning Sarah-Jane Brooks, one of the PTCs on the Fam trip has set up a group departure for 2026 and has offered places to her clients.
She has already secured 14 guests for the trip and is aiming to increase the group size to 20, with Sarah-Jane hosting the experience.
Dino Toouli of Transun, who hosted the February trip, says “It’s always fantastic to get agents to experience our trips firsthand and share these experiences with their customers, both while away and upon their return.”
Louise Rothwell Business Development Executive for The Personal Travel Consultants in Partnership with Blue Bay Travel added: “The trip was outstanding – and we’re very grateful to Transun for everything they organised. Experiencing product firsthand allows our agents to come back with the knowledge and enthusiasm to confidently sell the trip.”
