The Guild of Travel Management Companies is expected to hold its 2006 overseas conference in Las Vegas.
Detailed talks are underway with the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Bureau which is already an associate member of the GTMC. Virgin Atlantic is said to be keen on supporting the conference.
The gambling city has emerged as the front runner after plans to stage the event in Sri Lanka collapsed at the 11th hour.
